Mission To testify of the goodness, mercies, and mighty works of God through song towards the purpose of evangelism, education, and edification. These men, who are involved in various ministries of the Church, resolved there was another way they could witness to Gods’ people and mankind. In choosing a name for this group, they wanted to portray their relation with Christ and wear a name that represents how much they love Jesus. The word “valor” defines itself as courage, boldness and spirit. These men believe that Christ has done not just things, but “mighty things in their lives. This produced their spirit of courage to work for King Jesus. These men are brothers as well as friends. The group consists of a City of Durham Manager of Housing Development, two Airline Pilots (one of whom is the 1st African-American Captain for America West Airlines), an Art Teacher, 2 computer hardware/software consultants, a consumer market research consultant and a Navy Recruiter. The members of this group are Rodney Bennett, Aman Johnson, Stanley King, Chester Mayfield, John Merriweather, Charlie Robinson, Wiley Shearin, Quandrell Stephens and Chris Turner. In everything these men can do, they find it honorable to be men of God. If the Lord is willing, their 1st CD will be out in Fall 06. Their testimony and lives say “To God Be the Glory” for they are definitely “Mighty Men of Valor
