Young Girl's Ministries
(YG · Ages 4–8)
The purpose of the Young Girls’ Ministry is to empower young girls ages 4 to 8 through the word of God and to encourage the growth of a strong desire to become Christians and workers in the Lord’s church. The Ministry leader(s) is/are responsible for developing spiritual programs designed to meet the young girls' needs, engage their spiritual interests and desires, and hone their talents in diverse areas.

Who We Serve
Young Girl’s Ministries walks alongside girls ages 4 to 8 during some of their earliest spiritual formation years. In these formative moments, we help them see that God loves them, made them on purpose, and invites them into His story.
Through age‑appropriate teaching, conversation, and creative activities, girls begin to build a foundation of Scripture, confidence, and community that can grow with them as they mature.

If you’re a woman at Southside, Young Girl’s Ministries gives you space to pour into the next generation—whether you prefer to help with planning, logistics, teaching, or simply being a steady, loving presence in the room.
Empowerment & Special Moments
- Planning and conducting the annual Young Girls’ Lecturette (Girls Empowerment Day).
- Father‑daughter breakfast and Golden Wisdom appreciation moments that honor girls and the adults who pour into them.
- Fellowship and fun‑nights that give girls a safe, joyful place to build friendships.
Ongoing Formation & Service
- Classes twice per month that anchor girls in God’s word through stories, discussion, and creative activities.
- Community service projects that help girls see how their faith connects to loving others.
- Support for other ministry events as requested, giving girls a broader view of the church family.
